There are many aspects to strategic planning. Some common ways we work with clients include:

Work Plan Development

Variable hourly rate starting at $250 up to $350/hour for large organizations and foundations

If you constantly feel like you’re flying by the seat of your pants and are ready to take the time to organize your work, dig deep into revising your process, and develop goals and plans, we’re here for that. We can facilitate this type of work, suggest systems to organize it, and create a follow-up and follow-through plan that will infuse infrastructure and routine into your work.

Please note: strategic planning includes time needed for our consultants to assess your organization or business, meet with stakeholders, and create plans informed by values, capacity, and budget. It generally takes a minimum of 3-4 months to execute a successful strategic planning process, and at least 120 hours of our time. On average, a one year strategic plan takes 240 hours and around 18 full work weeks, longer during holidays. 

Strategic Planning: Systems

Variable hourly rate starting at $250 $350/hour for large organizations and foundations

Do you need help organizing your processes? Does your team need project management software, a CRM, or other tracking systems in place to organize their work, but you don’t know where to start? We'll have a clarifying conversation about how you work, what's working for you, and what needs to change. We’ll perform an analysis of your current systems and research solutions tailored to your business. We'll come up with a suite of systems to keep you organized and make your life easier, as well as implement these systems with your staff to set you up for success. This can take anywhere from 20-80+ hours of work time depending on what you do and what you need, so we'll assess during our consultation.

Strategic Planning: Succession & Transition Planning

Variable hourly rate starting at $200 $350/hour for large organizations and foundations

Whether a leader at your entity is retiring next year, or you’re a director getting ready to make a move to a new career path next quarter, succession and transition planning is absolutely key to ensuring that you leave your position in a place of strength for the next person to take it on. We will provide an analysis of what needs to be planned, work with you to provide support in necessary documentation, create an accessible storage system for your plans and materials, create training materials and an onboarding plan for your successor, and even help to smoothly transition your successor with coaching.

We support boards and executives to ensure smooth transitions when senior leaders leave the organization. We need a minimum of 4 months to complete this work; 6 months minimum for a CEO/ED, though optimally, we’d be given 10 months time.

Based on your needs,  our strategic planning can include engaging stakeholders and the community in focus groups, or researching solutions that are outside of the box for your team.
